In what *could* be our last year in the traditional, original 12 character format of the Singles Tournament...32 brave souls entered Alexander Hall to do battle! Many of the veterans were clumped in the brackets, giving breathing room for some new blood to advance deep into the night, and that they did!
But in our tenth year of the tourney, it would be four wily veterans with four unique characters who would emerge in the final four!
Our streak of never having a repeat winner was still intact with Ian's Maul still alive! And when he advanced to the finals to face Kaleb's Obi-Wan Kenobi, it looked like he might become our TENTH different Dueler to win the title!
BUT ALAS!
The mighty Kaleb became the first repeat winner of the Singles Tournament - once again using Obi-Wan Kenobi to win the title!!!
Congrats to Kaleb!!! There's no disputing it - he's the best singles player of all-time!!! Next year we are highly likely to expand the field to 64 characters...meaning there will only be TWO entries per character!!! What does that mean? PURE CHAOS!
