Preview: The Fall Brawl - September 6, 2026

Due to a weird glitch in the calendar matrix, we're playing this year's Fall Brawl just one weekend after the Doubleheader!  Labor Day is on Monday and then the next three Saturdays after that are all home football games...so yeah, why not?  LET'S FALL BRAWL!!!

HISTORY OF THE FALL BRAWL:

2025 - Rob won with Mace Windu in the Narkina 5 Imperial Prison
2024 - Rob won with General Grievous in the Eravana Cargo Hold
2023 - Isaiah won with Cad Bane in the Rancor Dungeon
2022 - Ian won with Tobias Beckett in the Rancor Dungeon
2021 - Natalie won with Anakin Skywalker on the Kamino Platform
2020 - Ryan won with Jango Fett on Arvala-7
2019 - Ryan won with Mace Windu in the Carbon Freezing Chamber
2018 - Courtney H. won with Emperor Palpatine in the Emperor's Throne Room
2017 - JD won with Han Solo in the Geonosis Arena
2016 - Ian won with Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Carbon Freezing Chamber
2015 - Rob won with Obi-Wan Kenobi on the Kamino Platform
2014 - David C. won with Darth Maul on the Kamino Platform

MEET THE DUELERS:

We have a lot of student Duelers this go-round, which we love to see!  These are the 12 mixing it up on Sunday...

Caden - welcome back to the fold, Caden!  He's making his first appearance since a frustrating last place finish at the 2025 Championship.  Here's to a better outcome!

Emmanuel - after an amazing debut Duel at CL Training (third place with Dr. Evazan!), Teal is once again represented well at the Dueling table.

Jonah - it was a tale of two Duels for Jonah at the Doubleheader.  After a lackluster tenth place finish in game one, he nearly took it home in third place (Grand Inquisitor) in game two!

Junior - there are rumors around the league that Junior was found wandering the halls of Brook this week, mumbling something like "...it wasn't fair...I was Han Solo...he blocked my Bowcaster..."

Kaizer - speaking of hotshot Teal rookies who debuted well at CL Training...Kaizer was as cool as the other side of the pillow, landing in fifth place with Reva.

Karis - the league's newest grad student wunderkind dabbled in her first 12-way at the Doubleheader during game one last weekend, guiding Poe to a ninth place finish after four+ hours of play.

Mason - in just three career Duels, Mason has played with both the KX Security Droid and K-2SO.  He wouldn't mind a non-robotic main character at the Fall Brawl.

Ramiro - he got aced out of the 12th chair at CL Training, but Ramiro makes his debut at the Fall Brawl, one of a trifecta of Teal Duelers trying to bring home gold to their trophy case.

Riley - it was a great day to Duel twice for Riley at the Doubleheader!  She won game one, becoming the first Dueler to win with Jabba the Hutt.  Ho ho ho, ha ha ha!

Rob - Rob had the opposite day of Jonah at the Doubleheader, grinding out a third place in game one (Aurra Sing) and then literally blowing up in tenth place in game two.

Sam - The Dallas Kid is driving back down YET AGAIN!  He keeps bailing us out for our 12th spot!  What a guy!!

Yoyo - yet another CL Training rookie has come back for more!  Yoyo's aggressive style of play was appreciated at the CL game, which finished in under three hours!

MEET THE CHARACTERS:

Ok, ok, I know why you really read the previews...to see the characters being played!  Here you go you ungrateful nerf herders...

These 12 will mix it up on the Geonosis/Hoth board!  If you're in town feel free to swing by on Sunday!!

Preview: The Doubleheader - August 29, 2026

As we are fond of saying in these parts...the only thing better than a 12-way Duel is TWO 12-way Duels!  It's the end of August and the best way to celebrate the start of another school year is two tries at stabbing people in the back and pew-pewing your way past eleven other Duelers.  This is our 13th (!) annual Doubleheader - it's a baker's dozen, baby!

We'll be playing on the Kamino Platform and the ever-changing Death Star board on Saturday!

2014 Game #2 - Curtis and Yoda won in the Geonisis Arena

MEET THE DUELERS:

There's a whole mess of folks swinging by Rob's house to play - here they are and which games they're joining:

CJ (game 2) - the third sister (Reva?) will grace us with her presence for game two, and by that we mean she will be ruthless, cold, and calculating.  And with her new haircut she's even edgier!

Curtis (games 1 & 2) - Curtis currently holds one of the Doubleheader trophies and would love to return it to his office.  Anything would be better than his last place at the Twin Sun Slam.

Eric (games 1 & 2) - Eric arrives at the Doubleheader coming off the improbable but impressive CL Training win with double minor characters Migs and Q9-0!

Ian (games 1 & 2) - with the parity in the league right now (no repeat winners in 2026), Ian is ranked second in the league but is in actual jeopardy of missing the championship without a win!

James (games 1 & 2) - the Teal mafia is stuck at a retreat on Saturday, but they've sent alum James to represent them at the table in their stead.

Jonah (game 1) - this is Jonah's first action since his disastrous 11th place finish with the KX Security Droid back at the May the 4th Duel.

Junior (games 1 & 2) - it's been a yoyo year for Junior in 2026, as he's gone from 5th to 10th to 3rd to 9th over his last four Duels.

Karis (game 1) - new Dueler alert!!!  This will mark Karis' first career 12-way, but she already impressed us at the singles tournament, where she made it to the sweet 16!

Mason (games 1 & 2) - Mason made his debut at the CL Training Duel, finishing a respectable sixth place with K-2SO.

Michael (game 2) - the wise and friendly chaplain has finished in the top four of two of the last three Duels he's played.  He'd love career win number two, though!

Miles O. (games 1 & 2) - the current rookie of the year for 2026 won his first career Duel at the Twin Suns Slam in June and turns pro in the second game of the Doubleheader!

Riley (games 1 & 2) - first year student Riley was told she couldn't return to the outer rim of Robinson until October, so we're not sure how she's smuggling herself to the Duel...

Rob (games 1 & 2) - he enters the Doubleheader off a second place finish with Kylo Ren at the CL Training Duel and defending a trophy.  The word on the street is he's making even more new decks!

Sam (games 1 & 2) - one of the great alums of the league, and the funniest Dueler in history, is back to play the game!  He'd love to record career win number one while he's here.

Preview: May the 4th Be With You - May 1, 2026

Alas...here we are at the end of our TWELFTH season of the 12-way Duel League.  TWELVE YEARS!!!  I've got to be honest, I'm getting emotional about this one!  Some of us playing at this year's May the 4th Be With You Duel played at the first one...in 2015!  And some of you were 8 years old when that happened.  We've come a long way.  It's been a lot of parsecs on the ol' navicomputer, man.

Enough of the mushy stuff, though!  We've got a Duel to preview!

HISTORY OF THE MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU DUEL:

2025 - Grant won with Bo-Katan Kryze in the Rancor Dungeon
2024 - Ian won with Orson Krennic on Arvala-7
2023 - JD M. won with Orson Krennic in the Narkina 5 Imperial Prison
2022 - Rob won with Kylo Ren on the Conveyex Train
2021 - Kaleb won with Jango Fett in the Trash Compactor
2020 - Ryan won with Han Solo on the Kamino Platform
2019 - Riley won with Emperor Palpatine in the Emperor's Throne Room
2018 - Rob won with Mace Windu in the Emperor's Throne Room
2017 - JD N. won with Yoda in the Emperor's Throne Room
2016 - Chris K . won with Jango Fett in the Emperor's Throne Room
2015 - Rob won with Jango Fett in the Carbon Freezing Chamber

MEET THE DULERS:

CJ - you know Rob picked a bad date for a Duel (sorry Teal formal folks) when he has to bribe his third born with a Boba Fett Tea to be the 12th Dueler.

Curtis - after missing the first two Duels of 2026, Curtis has finished in first and fourth place these past two months.  Not bad!

David M. - after the May the 4th Duel, David will be one Duel away from turning professional!  Could he add the second trophy of the year to Brooks?

Grant - Grant had a rough go of it in the trash compactor last month, finishing in seventh with the Droidekas.  But he is defending his trophy at May the 4th!

Hans - new Dueler alert!!!  Incoming CL Hans still has a week to go in the CL class, but he's getting his Dueling career started early.  Welcome to the show, Hans!

Jonah - our super-sub has done well in the 25-26 season, but his sixth place finish last month felt a little flat.  HA!  Get it?!?!  Because he got crushed by the trash compactor walls!!!

Junior - new professional alert!!!  May the 4th marks Junior's sixth Duel - he's going pro!  He hopes to do better than his tenth place finish at the Imperial March.

Kat - while the mice are about to move away, the Kat will play!  Longtime veteran Kat is back in action for the first time since last year's May the 4th!

Mark - nobody enjoyed Duel of the Fates last month more than Mark, he won his first career Duel!  Even more exciting, he did it with Cassian Andor!!!

Miles - Curtis' fourth born will be the second youngest at the table but eager to improve upon his 8th place finish with K-2SO last month.

Rob - the scoundrel Rob has won May the 4th three times over the years...could he make it win number four this weekend?  Or will he be too busy crying...

Riley - ...because this Duel marks Riley's last game as a minor!!!  May the 4th will move her into sixth place on the all-time games played list (72), all before turning 18 (which she does next week).  The tiny titan of terror, who won her first career Duel at May the 4th back in 2019, was just ten years and 364 days old at the time!  I'M NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING!

MEET THE CHARACTERS:

These are the 12 decks being used in Ewok Village on Friday!

We're throwing down at 7PM in the North Village Fine Arts Studio on Friday!  PEW PEW!
