Friends - it was a wild week trying to secure enough players for the Twin Sun Slam. We had to abandon our 1PM online Duel due to lack of available players, but for the first time in 16 months....we're playing face to face! PEW PEW!!!
This is also a bittersweet Duel because it will be the swan song for two of the greatest Duelers in league history: Ryan and Kaleb. They're both moving in July, and though we're excited for their new life adventures, they leave a sizeable crater in the Forest Moon of our hearts. (What...?) In honor of Ryan, who built all of our insane 3-D playing boards, we let him pick one of his creations for the battle tonight. His choice?

MEET THE DUELERS:
Let's introduce tonight's combatants...
Alex C. - the league's top ranked Dueler is named Alex, and we're playing in Alexander Hall. What does this mean? Absolutely nothing.
Duncan - he's a professional Dueler with two wins under his belt, but this will be the first time he's played in-person! What a crazy 16 months this has been...
Grant - Grant's winless streak is oppressively long, but don't sleep on this Dueling master, who won a Twin Slam Duel back in 2018.
Guyler - I have no idea who Guyler is, but a friend of Karson's is a friend of ours!
Jesse - this might be the biggest coup in league history. Boardgame savant Jesse has played the singles Duel with us before, but has historically resisted the siren song of the 12-Way...until now!
Jocelyn - in the second biggest coup in league history, we have secured the Dueling rights of Jocelyn, the sister of Jasmine - one of the league's biggest naysayers. Take that, Jasmine!
Kaleb - he may already be in the Dueling Hall of Fame, and he may have already broke the game at last month's May the 4th Be With You Duel, but Kaleb would like to pad his resume with one more victory.
Karson - big shout out to Karson, who roped two of his friends into playing with us tonight. May the Force be with him.
Rob - he has a long history of poor performances at the Twin Sun Slam, dating back to the infamous "Kill Rob First" cupcakes, so he's trying to shake that off.
Russell - ditto with Russell, I don't know him but we're glad he's playing!
Ryan - has there ever been a more mischievous Dueler in league history? I think not. We'll see if he has one more trick up his sleeve...
Troy - our recent Baylor grad is still the reigning Singles Champion after we had to cancel last year. Speaking of which - mark July 25th on your calendars! More details to come...
