Can you believe we've come down to the second-to-last Duel of the school year??? It seems like the season flew by while the reality of living in a COVID-riddled world drug on. We've been playing online for over a year, but it feels like, by August, we might finally be able to play face to face again. We'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, keep your Vader helmets on and get vaccinated!
But let's talk about DUEL OF THE FATES! This is our seventh go at this pulse-raising Duel. Normally we play the actual "Duel of the Fates" song on repeat for the entire evening, but it just doesn't work as well online, so we'll give that rest this time.

MEET THE DUELERS:
Because we're still playing online we've already assigned starting spots and characters to the Duelers. Here they are...
Chair #1 - Jessica B. w/ Emperor Palpatine! Jessica made her Dueling debut at The Imperial March, where she finished a respectable sixth place with...Emperor Palpatine! She's nothing if not consistent.
Chair #2 - Rob w/ Luke Skywalker! Rob is on a non-stop roller coaster over his past five games, with a last place, first place, last place, second place, and yes, last place finish. The nausea is definitely kicking in...
Chair #3 - Ryan w/ Yoda! He only has one top five finish since winning the Fall Brawl, but the new Ewok Village board might be his crowning achievement in that time.
Chair #4 - John B. w/ Jango Fett! John made his Dueling debut at the Imperial March as well, but his Kylo Ren was the early target, so he's hoping to improve upon that 11th place finish.
Chair #5 - Ian w/ Kylo Ren! Before his dubious finish at The Centurion, Ian had won his last Duel and placed in 2nd the previous four times he played! That has to be the best five-game stretch in league history, right?
Chair #6 - Riley w/ The Mandalorian! The tiny titan of terror is back, and it's safe to say she's excited to play with Disney+'s new cash cow. She had a great third place finish at The Imperial March.
Chair #7 - Duncan w/ Darth Vader! Does anybody remember what happened the last time Duncan had Vader? He won Thanksdueling! The top ranked Dueler would love career victory number on the forest moon of Endor.
Chair #8 - Kevin w/ Obi-Wan Kenobi! Kevin is new to our league but a grizzled Dueling veteran. He and Rob played together when both of them worked at the University of Tennessee. Obi-Wan, you'll always be, home sweet home to me! Good ol' Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan Kenobiiiiii...
Chair #9 - Grant w/ Supreme Leader Snoke! Grant has new fourth place finishes over his last four Duels. Still, he's craving career win #8, which has alluded him for a couple of years now.
Chair #10 - Kaleb w/ Lando Calrissian! He's riding five top-four finishes in his last seven Duels, so it's safe to say Kaleb is in the zone. He'd love to be the second Dueler ever to win with Lando.
Chair #11 - Curtis w/ Darth Maul! All hail The Centurion!!! That's right, Curtis just won the toughest Duel in league history. Bow before him mere mortals!!! Or taste his Sith Speed!
Chair #12 - Qui-Gon Jinn w/ Fiona! This is our third Dueler making her second game after debuting at the Imperial March. If that train chaos couldn't shake her, I don't know what else would!
